UPI & MDR New Framework
The new UPI Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) framework keeps all Person-to-Person (P2P) UPI transactions free, while introducing limited MDR on specified Person-to-Merchant (P2M) transactions above ₹2,000. Approximately 96% of merchant transactions are expected to remain unaffected.
