📢 Latest MPPSC 2026 Notification

MPPSC released the State Service Examination 2026 notification under Advertisement No. 29/2025 on 31 December 2025. The original vacancy count was 155 posts and was subsequently revised to 156. The application window closed on 9 February 2026.

The Preliminary Examination was conducted on 26 April 2026 and the Main Examination was scheduled from 7 to 12 September 2026. Candidates should use the latest MPPSC notification and corrigenda when checking vacancy, eligibility and post-specific conditions.

🔄 Major Changes in MPPSC 2026

Paper I Increased to 300 Marks

General Studies now has 100 questions carrying 3 marks each, making Paper I worth 300 marks.

Negative Marking Introduced

For the 2026 Preliminary examination, 1 mark is deducted for each incorrect answer in Paper I.

CSAT Revised

The General Aptitude Test syllabus has been revised. The earlier 'Lifestyle and Counter Force' topic is no longer part of the 2026 syllabus.

Mains Structure

The Main Examination continues with six compulsory papers totaling 1,400 marks, followed by a 175-mark interview.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognised University or equivalent qualification as prescribed in the notification.

Age Limit

Age requirements vary according to the post. For 2026, the general baseline is 21 years minimum, with separate upper-age provisions for uniformed and non-uniformed posts.

Nationality

Candidates must satisfy the nationality and other eligibility conditions prescribed by MPPSC.

MP Domicile

Reservation, fee concessions and certain age-relaxation provisions are applicable according to Madhya Pradesh government rules and the MPPSC notification.

2026 marking change: Paper I has 100 questions for 300 marks and carries a deduction of 1 mark for each wrong answer. Paper II has 100 questions for 200 marks and is qualifying in nature.
