Latest SBI PO 2026 Notification

SBI released the Probationary Officer recruitment notification for 2026 under Advertisement No. CRPD/PO/2026-27/09 on 18 June 2026. The recruitment covers 1,500 vacancies. Online applications were accepted from 18 June to 8 July 2026.

The Preliminary Examination was conducted on 1 and 2 August 2026. The Preliminary Examination result has been announced and shortlisted candidates proceeded to the Main Examination. The Main Examination was scheduled for 12 September 2026. Candidates should continue to follow the official SBI Careers portal for Phase III and result updates.

✅ SBI PO 2026 Eligibility Criteria

🎓

Educational Qualification

Graduation in any discipline from a recognized University or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government.

🎂

Age Limit

21 to 30 years as on 01 April 2026. Candidates must have been born between 02 April 1996 and 01 April 2005.

🌏

Nationality

Eligible Indian citizens and other categories permitted under the SBI recruitment notification.

Final-Year Students

Candidates in the final year/semester of graduation could apply provisionally, subject to the qualification requirements specified in the notification.

UR/EWS: 6 attempts; OBC: 9 attempts; SC/ST: No restriction, subject to the conditions in the notification.

The 2026 SBI PO Main Examination consists of an objective test worth 200 marks followed immediately by a 30-mark descriptive paper. The objective test has separate sectional timings.

SBI states that the starting basic pay is ₹48,480 plus four advance increments. The notification also specifies an approximate initial CTC of ₹21.97 lakh at the Mumbai centre. DA, HRA, CCA, NPS, medical benefits, lease rental facility and other benefits are applicable as per SBI rules.
